At Elizabeth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, we provide comprehensive rehabilitation services designed to restore and/or maintain our residents’ abilities to their highest level of functioning.
Our rehabilitation team works collaboratively with the nursing department and physicians to provide the best possible care to help our residents gain independence. The team will also make specific recommendations for discharge to the patient’s home.
Muscle strengthening and re-education are underscored with specific gait and ambulation training, prosthetic evaluation and training, ultrasound and electric stimulation, pain management, wound care and more.
Sensory-motor deficits, orthopedic conditions, and neurological problems are addressed with specific goal-oriented activities focused on increasing function during activities of daily living (ADL), safety training, assistive device assessment and training, upper extremity strengthening and coordination, splint fabrication and modification, and more.
The latest research findings are combined with current and traditional approaches for outstanding therapeutic management involving language development, fluency and articulation, cognitive/linguistic disorders, feeding/swallowing programs, and more.
